The Nigeria Youth Futures Fund (NYFF) is now accepting applications for the 2024/2025 grant cycle, inviting young Nigerian changemakers and organisations dedicated to community and national development to apply. Aimed at filling the funding gap for youth-led initiatives, NYFF provides resources to amplify youth influence and accelerate progress in Nigeria’s critical development areas.
NYFF Grant Categories
This year’s NYFF cycle introduces three unique grant types, each tailored to various levels of need and impact:
1. Small Grant – Up to $1,000: Designed for individual young changemakers focusing on community-based projects, this grant supports grassroots initiatives that tackle immediate local issues.
2. Development Grant – Up to $10,000: Targeted at grassroots organisations, this grant aids efforts promoting youth inclusion and governance reform. It’s ideal for established youth-led groups working toward sustainable, long-term change.
3. Catalyst Grant – Up to $50,000: Reserved for innovation hubs and civic organisations, the Catalyst Grant boosts larger-scale initiatives, focusing on youth capacity-building and fostering systemic solutions for societal challenges.
Eligibility Criteria
– For Individuals: Applicants should be between 18-35 years old and have proven experience in areas such as youth activism, project planning, and leadership. Additionally, candidates must provide identification or proof of institutional affiliation and two professional referees to endorse their work.
– For Organizations: Eligible organisations must be youth-led and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission CAC or other relevant bodies. Applicants are required to present two reputable referees. Unregistered groups can still participate by collaborating under a registered entity.
