FG Disburses Funds For NASU Salaries and Retirees Benefits

The Federal Government has released funds to settle unpaid salaries for members of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Federal Universities (NASU) and to cover retirement benefits for retirees under the Nigerian Union of Pensioners’ Contributory Pension Scheme. 

This information was confirmed in a statement issued on Saturday by Bawa Mokwa, the Director of Press and Public Relations at the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF). According to the statement, payments to NASU members have commenced, with many confirming they have received the funds. 

The statement noted that the Federal Government has disbursed funds to pay the withheld salaries of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Federal Universities. Additionally, the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF) mentioned that funds have been allocated to provide benefits to retirees under the Nigerian Union of Pensioners’ Contributory Pension Scheme.

The statement also mentioned that payments to the Non-Academic Staff of Federal Universities have begun, with numerous recipients confirming they have received them.

This action reflects the government’s commitment to supporting the welfare of both active employees and retirees.
