The College of Agriculture, Science, and Technology (COAST), Lafia, Nasarawa State, invites applications for the 2024/2025 academic session. Registration for the Post-UTME screening is now open for various National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), Pre-ND, and Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programs.
Available National Diploma (ND) Programs
Candidates applying for the National Diploma (ND) can choose from a wide range of programs, including:
– Nutrition and Dietetics
– Home and Rural Economics
– Fashion Design and Clothing Technology
– Science Laboratory Technology
– Agricultural Technology
– Fisheries Technology
– Computer Engineering Technology
– Mechanical Engineering Technology, and more.
Eligibility and Application Process (ND)
– All UTME candidates who selected COAST, Lafia as their first choice and scored 100 or above in the 2024 JAMB UTME are eligible.
– Candidates must create an account and pay a fee of ₦2,000 via the college website [www.coastlafia.edu.ng](https://www.coastlafia.edu.ng).
– If you chose the college as your second or third choice, you must change it to first choice** before your application can be processed.
– Candidates who did not initially select the college but are interested can also apply by changing their institution or course to COAST, Lafia.
Higher National Diploma (HND) Programs
The following HND programs are available for the 2024/2025 academic session:
– Home and Rural Economics
– Agribusiness Management
– Animal Health Technology
– Pest Management Technology
– Crop Production Technology
– Fisheries Technology
– Agricultural Extension and Management, and others.
HND Application Process

– Pay a processing fee of ₦6,000 via the portal to complete the application.
Pre-National Diploma (Pre-ND) Programs
Pre-ND programs are available in Science and Technology. Applicants must have four O’Level credits in relevant subjects, including Mathematics and English Language, from recognised examination bodies like SSCE, NECO, NABTEB, or their equivalents.
Pre-HND Programs
Candidates can also apply for Pre-HND programs through COAST Lafia Consult by paying a processing fee of ₦6,000
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Programs
The college is offering new **PGD programs in the following fields:
– Agricultural Economics
– Animal Science
– Agronomy (with options in Crop Protection and Soil and Water Management)
– Aquaculture and Fisheries Management
– Home Science and Management, and more.
Eligibility for PGD Programs
– Applicants must possess five O’Level credits, including Mathematics, English Language, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, and Physics.
– Graduates from universities with at least a third-class degree in relevant fields are eligible.
– Holders of HND with an upper credit or relevant post-qualification experience can also apply.
– The PGD application fee is ₦20,000.
