The Clement Adesuyi Haastrup Foundation (CAHF) has opened applications for its 2024/2025 scholarship programme, designed to provide financial support for Ijesa students across Nigerian higher education institutions. 

The CAHF scholarship offers critical assistance to students from the six local governments within Ijesa land, helping them achieve academic success and reduce the financial strain on their families.

Since its inception, the CAHF Scholarship Programme has supported hundreds of students, allowing Ijesa youths to pursue university, polytechnic, and college education through dedicated funding that helps them reach their potential. Eligibility Criteria for the CAHF Scholarship

To qualify for the CAHF Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Nationality and Origin:

   – Applicants must be of Ijesa origin and provide verifiable evidence of their local government of origin.

2. Educational Status:

   – The scholarship is open to full-time undergraduates currently enrolled in a Nigerian university, polytechnic, or college of education.

3. Academic Standing:

   – Applicants must demonstrate a good academic track record with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of Second Class Upper Division (or its equivalent).

4. Financial Need:

   – Candidates are expected to show evidence of financial need as part of the application process.

Required Documentation for Application

Applicants will need to upload the following documents to confirm their eligibility:

– Official proof of local government origin issued by their local council.

– A signed letter of introduction from their current Head of Department.

– A certified academic record from their institution’s Exams and Records department.

– A valid student ID card issued by the institution, department, or faculty.

– Proof of registration for the current academic semester or session.

– Verification of membership in the Federation of Ijesa Students’ Union FISU.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an oral interview, where they must present original copies of the documents uploaded during the application process.
