The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has activated the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) for the 2024/2025 admission exercise. This platform allows candidates to track their admission status, providing real-time updates on whether their chosen institution has offered them admission. Once an admission offer is made on JAMB CAPS, candidates are required to either accept or reject the admission.
As several schools have begun uploading their admission lists onto the JAMB portal, it is crucial for candidates to monitor their status regularly to respond promptly when an offer is made. Not all schools will publish admission lists on their websites or notice boards, so the JAMB CAPS portals are often the only way to confirm admission.
Steps to Check Your Admission Status on JAMB CAP
1. Visit the JAMB e-facility portal: https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng.
2. Login with your registered email address and password.
3. Navigate to Check Admission Status.
4. Click on Access my CAPS and select Admission Status.
5. If you’ve been offered admission, a congratulatory message and your photo will appear on the screen.
6. If you haven’t received an admission offer yet, you’ll see a message saying Sorry, no admission has been given yet.
What to Do After Admission Offer:
Once admission is offered, candidates must either accept or reject the offer on CAPS. Timely acceptance is crucial, as it allows the institution to process your admission. Candidates who have accepted the offer should also ensure they print their JAMB admission letter, as it will be required during school clearance and registration.
Important Note for Mobile Users:
You might not see the full CAPS page if you’re checking your admission status using a mobile phone. To access the complete interface, it is recommended to use the desktop mode on the Chrome browser. Simply go to the Chrome options and select Request desktop site for the full page to display properly.
Monitoring your JAMB CAPS status is essential for staying informed about your admission process and ensuring you take necessary steps once admitted. Don’t miss out—keep an eye on your status and secure your spot for the 2024/2025 academic session
